BOTANICALLYBE: GROWING CONFIDENCE, COMMUNITY, AND CARE THROUGH PLANTS

1. Tell us a little about yourself and your journey. How did you get to where you are today?

I’m Britt, the creator behind BotanicallyBe, a plant content brand rooted in education, storytelling, and helping people feel more confident with their houseplants. What started as a small personal hobby eventually became a passion that grew into a creative career. I’ve built my platforms by sharing the real and honest side of plant care, including the wins, the struggles, and all the learning curves along the way. Over time, my community has become a group of plant besties called the BoCo, short for Botanical Community, that have been growing and learning together.

2. What inspired you to become an influencer?

I never set out with the intention of becoming an influencer. I simply wanted to make plant care easier and more relatable. There is so much conflicting information online and I realized beginners needed someone approachable who could break things down in a way that felt clear and encouraging. Seeing people gain confidence, save their plants, and fall in love with the hobby is what keeps me inspired to create.

3. Can you walk us through your creative process? How do you ideate for your videos?

My creative process is a blend of education, intuition, and everyday experiences. I usually start with common pain points or questions that come up in my community. From there, I build short, digestible storylines that feel inviting and helpful. Some videos are cinematic, some are conversational, and others use humor or trending sounds. I want every piece of content to be useful, warm, and approachable!

4. What messages do you aim to convey through your videos?

My core message is that you do not have to be an expert to grow something beautiful. Plant care is not about perfection. It is about learning, observing, and giving yourself grace. I want people to feel empowered, encouraged, and capable. I also aim to create a space where everyone feels welcome no matter where they are in their plant journey.

5. Have you faced any unique challenges as a creator and how have you overcome them?

Absolutely. One of the biggest challenges has been balancing creativity with the pressure to constantly show up online. As a creator, I handle every part of the process myself, from filming and editing to planning and managing my brand behind the scenes. What has helped me most is creating healthier boundaries, building sustainable routines, and focusing on content that feels true to me rather than content that feels forced. I also let my audience see the real process instead of only the polished moments.

6. What is one piece of advice you would give to starting creators who want to pursue content creation?

Start before you feel ready and stay consistent. You do not need perfect equipment or a perfect plan. The growth happens when you experiment, find your voice, and show up regularly. Focus on providing value, building trust, and letting your personality shine through. People connect with the creator more than the setup.

7. Are there any upcoming projects or pieces you are particularly excited about?

Yes. I am expanding several of my educational series, creating new plant guides, and building more storytelling centered videos. I am also working on community growth across platforms and exploring collaborations that align with my mission of making plant care simple and accessible.
